What an incredible afternoon at MCRFC yesterday!
We were honoured to welcome CommBank Matildas CAP #230, Winonah Heatley , back to the club for a special meet-and-greet and Q&A session.
From her early days playing football in Port Douglas and at Marlin Coast Rangers, to representing Australia on the international stage, Wini shared her journey with honesty, humility and passion. Our players had the opportunity to ask questions, hear about the challenges and triumphs along the way, and learn what it takes to chase their dreams.
More importantly, Wini shared some powerful messages that every young footballer can carry with them:

Wini took the time to chat with every club member who attended, making each player feel valued and inspired. Her kindness, generosity and willingness to give back to the football community make her a wonderful role model for the next generation of footballers in FNQ.
Thank you, Wini, for sharing your time, your experiences and your wisdom with us. We know there are plenty of young Rangers heading into their games this weekend with renewed confidence, fresh motivation and a belief that big dreams really can start right here at MCRFC.
