Notice of Annual General Meeting, 7pm 29/06/26.

Baseball Cairns will hold its AGM on Monday the 29th of June 2026 at 7pm via Zoom. Meeting link will be sent to all clubs and representatives prior to the meeting. Please reach out to your club or the association if you would like to have the link sent to you so you can participate.

All management committee positions will be vacated and members are encouraged to consider a position to assist the association to continue moving forwards.

A key confirmed vacancy will be the Juniors Vice President with Brendan indicating he will not be renominating for the position. The members thank Brendan for his time not only in this role but on the previous CJBL committee where he was the last secretary prior to amalgamation. We look forward to still seeing Brendan coaching and supporting the juniors of a Saturday and rolling the arm over on the mound on Sundays for his Dodgers crew.

📣Calling all Cairns junior baseball coaches, aspiring coaches, parents and volunteers! 📣

Join us in Cairns on Thursday 25 June for our Junior Coaching Workshop, designed to help coaches build confidence and develop the skills needed to create positive, engaging and inclusive baseball experiences for young players.

This workshop focuses on the foundations of coaching junior athletes, combining theory, practical activities, icebreakers and on-field sessions.

Topics include:

✅ Fun and enjoyable learning environments
✅ Age-appropriate coaching techniques
✅ Positive reinforcement and player engagement

A milestone day for Baseball Cairns - the first official round of regular Junior Baseball being played at our Trinity Beach home 🥰 With a strong history in the region, unfortunately some location moves for our juniors over the years didn’t work out quite as planned. With a transition via Bear park the past two seasons thanks to our friends at Cubs Baseball Club - Cairns and the CBL and CJBL merger while in transition, the kids are now home with our seniors and the future looks bright for our great game 😎⚾️

Good evening FNQ baseball.

Our prayers have been answered and we have some absolutely beautiful weather for junior baseball.

Tomorrow will see our first official games for all our juniors starting with T-ball and Little League kicking off at 9am. Followed by Junior League at 10:30am.

The canteen will be open selling sausage on bread, a variety of drinks and chips/popcorn. It will be cash only for the next few weeks.

Come on down and support our juniors.

Happy Friday Baseball NQ, ⚾️

Tonight’s games have been postpone due to ground works, this game will be rescheduled later in the season.
The Cairns Baseball fields are under improvements, making bigger & better Dugouts, New outfield Lights, and a new Food trailer for our Juniors, we would like to thank everyone for your patience. 🙏🏽.

This Committee will continue to deliver its best. So you can deliver your best on the fields.

The weekend ahead for Baseball Cairns:

This week has seen the ground improvements continue with the D1 dugout replacement project moving along full steam ahead (demolition complete, 3rd base slab down and 1st base formed up for a pour tomorrow). Think the D2 dugouts for size and design, but they have also been designed with the structural ability to add a viewing platform on top in the future so we will be able to offer an unmatched viewing and baseball experience for our sponsors and supporters.

While works move ahead, in the interests of safety and getting the works finished ASAP, Friday night’s Reds V Bandits game will be rescheduled to a later time.

Saturday will see our Juniors play their first competitive games of the season, kicking off from 9am. We’ll have the BBQ fired up and the soft drinks chilled (cash only for the first couple of weeks just FYI) so come on down to see the next generation of superstars in action.

Sunday will see a full schedule of games from 9am with the best canteen in baseball up and running.
