Monday Happy Hour runs from 4.00pm to 6.00pm.

Tuesday offers Morning Bowls at 9.00am (cards 8.45am), Men’s Triples at 1.00pm (cards 12.45pm) and Barefoot Bowls starting at 6.00pm (arrive by 5.30pm) with a sausage sizzle, cash prizes and fun for all levels.

Wednesday Mixed Bowls starts at 1.00pm (cards 12.45pm).
Thursday Mixed Self-Selected Triples begins at 1.00pm (cards 12.40pm).

Friday night features Prize-a-rama, Gold Rush, 100 Club and Meat Tray Raffles with Quiz starting at 6.00pm with the draws following. Happy Hour runs from 4.00pm to 6.00pm.

Saturday Scroungers start at 9.30am (be at the club by 9.15am).

Dress: Bowls attire. Bowls are available free, and all bowlers, non-bowlers and tourists are welcome. Phone 4057 6931. For all social games, cards are called 15 minutes before start.

We would love to see as many members as possible come along and support our finalists across the three days. Your encouragement from the sidelines makes a huge difference, so grab a seat, enjoy some great bowls, and help create a fantastic championship atmosphere.

Could we call on some volunteers to please bring along a plate of morning tea on Sunday? With a great crowd expected to support our finalists, any contribution would be very much appreciated. Whether it's some sweet or savoury, it will help make the morning even more enjoyable for everyone. Thank you in advance!

AUSSIE OPEN...from the head!

Andrea and Terry continued their fantastic run yesterday, winning two knockout matches to book their place in the Round of 16 today at Musgrave Hill.

With every win the field gets smaller, but the challenge gets bigger. The girls have already exceeded expectations and will be looking to keep their momentum going.

The Marlin cheer squad will be rink-side, armed with coats, coffee and plenty of encouragement!

Go girls! We're all behind you.

AUSSIE OPEN......down to the pointy end!

It's been a long and gruelling two weeks of bowls, with plenty of kilometres travelled, early starts, late finishes and more than a few weary bodies on display around the Gold Coast Greens!

Yesterday saw some very close contests across the board, but unfortunately it was the end of the road for most of our Far North representatives.

The shining exception was Andrea and Terry, who put together a fantastic day, winning all three of their sectional matches to progress through to the knockout rounds of the Ladies Over 60's Pairs.

With the rest of the Marlin Coast crew now officially promoted to spectators, they will be rink-side today at Tugun, ready to offer encouragement, support and acknowledging how easy this game is from the sidelines 🤣🤣

Good luck, gals! You've already made us proud, but we're not ready to pack those uniforms just yet!

AUSSIE OPEN.....from the head!

Yesterday was a tough day at the office for our pairs teams.

Tony and Mike went down in all three of their Over 60's Pairs matches. The frustrating part was that they were bowling well all day, regularly finding themselves with bowls in the head, but just couldn't quite hang on to the shot when it mattered most.

Trish and Kaytlyn also faced some tough opposition in the Multi Disability Open Pairs. They battled hard all day and came heartbreakingly close in their final game, going down by just a single shot.

Today our TFNQ crew are scattering across the Gold Coast like bowls after a Ryan Bester drive!!!

👉 Andrea and Terry are in action at Paradise Point in their Over 60's Pairs campaign.

👉 Leonie heads south to Tugun with substitute partner Bronwyn Torrens in the Over 60's Pairs.

👉 Eddie and Graham begin their Over 60's Pairs at Musgrave Hill.

👉 Trish is off to Mermaid Beach in the Semi-final knockout round of the Physical Disability Open Singles.

👉 Tony continues his charge in the Deaf and Hearing Impaired Open Singles also in the Semi-final knockout round at Helensvale.

AUSSIE OPEN...from the head!

Congratulations to Trish and Tony, who have both progressed through to the Quarter Finals of their respective singles disciplines after some fantastic bowls yesterday. A special mention also goes to Kaytlyn, who narrowly missed out on joining them in the finals stages after a strong performance throughout the event.

Today the focus shifts back to the pairs competitions, with Tony and Mike beginning their Men's Over 60's Pairs sectional campaign at Paradise Point. Meanwhile, Trish and Kaytlyn will be in action at Helensvale in the Multi Disability Open Pairs sectionals.

The games keep coming, the kilometres keep adding up, and somehow everyone is still smiling!
