Coach Croft

Coach Croft When I went looking for younger menopausal athletes and coaches who understood that experience, I came up empty.

Running + Strength Coach empowering Masters athletes + women navigating {peri}menopause to thrive in their training through personalized coaching + training plans
DM to start! I’m an endurance runner, RRCA-certified run coach, and GGS Menopause Strength coach based in Oklahoma, with a form-focused approach to running + strength training. After enduring multiple surgeries, medically induced menopau

se, and eventually a full hysterectomy due to Endometriosis, I found myself navigating endurance training in a body without its own hormones. So I built my own path back to stronger, faster, and more sustainable running—and turned that experience into the foundation of my coaching. My running journey began in 2009, much of it self-coached. I’ve raced across distances up to the marathon, but real progress didn’t come from simply doing more. It came from learning how to train smarter, move more efficiently, and respect the body I was actually in. That shift changed not only my performance, but my relationship with running. Today, I specialize in coaching Masters + Menopausal athletes, helping them build strength, confidence, and longevity in their training. I also enjoy working with runners of all backgrounds and experience levels who are ready to move beyond grind-based approaches and toward something more sustainable. My goal is to help athletes feel less alone in their journey, more capable in their bodies, and better equipped to pursue their goals with clarity and intention.

Breaking news:

Local runner successfully re-established diplomatic relations with their body after years of negotiations conducted exclusively through Garmin.

Sources confirm effort was accurately identified before checking the watch.

Coach is emotional. Watch remains employed, but no longer in charge. 🤭🩵

If you know the difference between temperature and dew point, you’re either a runner, a meteorologist, or you’ve reached the age where weather becomes a legitimate hobby.

Oklahoma runners know that 75° can mean “beautiful morning” or “surface of the sun.” The dew point decides.

Happy Global Running Day!

To the runners chasing PRs.
To the runners rebuilding trust in their bodies.
To the runners run/walking their way through a season.
To the runners who forgot their pace, their watch, or what an orange is called.

Running has carried me through joy, grief, growth, friendship, endometriosis, surgical menopause, uncertainty, and more miles than I can count.

Today I’m just grateful for the simple fact that I get to lace up my shoes and go.

Wherever you are in your journey, I’m glad you’re here.

Happy Global Running Day. 🌎🏃🏻‍♀️🩵

People think run coaching is mostly about pace charts and workouts.

Sometimes it is. Sometimes it’s helping someone understand why the training that worked at 30 isn’t working at 50.

Sometimes it’s explaining that recovery isn’t weakness. Sometimes it’s convincing an athlete that taking an extra rest day won’t erase years of fitness.

And sometimes it’s listening to a 10-minute rant about work, kids, hormones, sleep, and life before asking:

“Cool. So how did the run feel?”

The running is rarely the hardest part. 😂

Somewhere between ‘I can run a marathon’ and ‘I injured myself stepping off a curb’ is the menopause experience.

The good news? Most tendon issues don’t appear out of nowhere. They whisper long before they scream.

If your ankles, Achilles, knees, or hips have entered their dramatic era, my Tendon Health Guide is ready for download in the shop.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have important business to attend to. Like investigating whether my Etsy witch has ankle protection spells ✨

People think coaching is about race times, paces, workouts, mileage, strength plans, and spreadsheets.

Those things matter. But the stuff that sticks with me is different.

It’s the message that says, “I thought of you today.” The athlete who shares a post because they know it will help someone else. The person who tells their friend, “You should follow this coach.” The athlete who disappears for a season and then comes back because this still feels like home. The runner who sends a photo from a race and says, “I carried your words with me.”

Those are the moments that remind me this work is about so much more than running.

Every share, tag, recommendation, kind message, and glimmer means more than you probably realize.

I notice. I remember. And I’m grateful for every single one of you. 🩵

As a teenager, I thought adulthood would involve glamorous parties, important meetings, and having my life together.

Instead I’m discussing protein intake, checking dew points, taking magnesium, and getting irrationally excited because my Garmin called me “productive.”

Honestly? Not the plot twist I expected, but here we are. I’m glad I have friends who get it, at least 🤪
