From the " Blood Round" at State to the top of the National Podium

A few weeks ago, the CA State Tournament didn't go the way they planned. Both Marley & Tiffany fell in the medal round - the toughest place to lose.

But, they didn't let that be the end. They reset their goals and brought a different energy to Virginia Beach for the NHSCA High School Nationals.

The results:
🏅 Marley (unseeded): NATIONAL CHAMPION! A perfect 6-0 run, taking down 1, 2 & 3X State Champions. She outscored her opponents 52-6 with 4 pins & 2 major decision. Marley has become SA Girls Wrestling's first National Champion.
🥉Tiffany (unseeded): All-American! Placed 8th in the country with a 7-3 record, including 4 pins and wins over 1 & 2X State Champions.
💪Gabby: Stepped up on the big stage, finishing 1-2 with 1 pin to help close out the season.

What a way to end this amazing folkstyle season.

Lorelei Hartman represented Santa Ana as a member of Team California Blue at the Junior National Duals in Tulsa , OK.
California Blue won the Greco National Championship & placed 3rd in Freestyle.
Lorelei was 4-0 in Freestyle & 2-1 in Greco.
Next up, Lorelei, along with SA teammates: Alicia, Anabelle & Angelica Serratos, head to the Fargo Dome for the Freestyle National Championships in July.
