Scott | Facilities Manager
We all love coming to Swain to ride, spend time with friends and family, and make memories, and it may never cross your mind how much is going on behind the scenes to make sure you're safe, comfortable, and have the best experience possible. That's where Scott comes in!
Scott is our Facilities Manager, and it'd be impossible to name all the tasks that fall under that title. Whether it's the simple shoveling and making sure walkways aren't too icy, keeping the lodge clean, or the extreme world of plumbing and heating a resort filled with hundreds of people daily, Scott and his crew are thinking of you in everything they do. If you've ever seen any cool drone footage of Swain, Scott's the pilot behind that, too!
Scott is all about Swain through and through. He has been working for Swain on and off since he was 18, and has been our year-round guy for the past 6 years. He loves the puzzle of fixing things, working with people who feel like family, and seeing all the kids having fun.
Swain holds a very special place in Scott's heart. He and his wife, Tammy, have been married for 34 years, and raised their four children right here around Swain, and all became skiers and snowboarders. He is a proud "papa" to his two granddaughters. Scott has worked many jobs at Swain, but his current position as Facilities Manager is his favorite job ever!
On November 25, 2025, our coworker and dear friend was diagnosed with Stage 3 lung cancer. Because the tumor is dangerously close to his heart, surgery is not an option. Instead, he is preparing for an intense course of concurrent chemotherapy and radiation, beginning this month.
