Celebrate the Fall Equinox with a special 108 Sun Salutations! This ritual is done at the turning of each season where yogis come together to set an intention for the upcoming season. Notice how the trees do not cling to their leaves. Fall is about releasing the old to make way for the new.
Join Allison for a variety of sun salutations themed to get in sync with the season. Traditionally, the practice of doing 108 sun salutations to celebrate the changing of the seasons is called the "mala" (after a Tibetan meditation garland with 108 mantra beads -108 is a significant number in many cultures). It sounds like sheer craziness to do 108 sun salutations but the number you complete is not the important thing, it is the intent.
