I practice the 80/20 principle I teach all my clients and students. This means that I am well managed in accordance with my core values and dream at least 80% of the time, and I enjoy exploring the wild side up to 20% of the time.

The healthier you are, the smaller your 20% becomes because the side effects of foods and drinks become pronounced as your body-mind balances and heals.
The healthier you are, the more aware you become with regard to how toxic many of the things you once thought were good are.

This is but one of many ways to exemplify how our perspective changes as our body-mind improves in health and vitality.

What is wrong with beans and legumes?

Unlike wheat, corn, and sugar, legumes aren’t generally associated with “junk food” or processed food products. It’s easy to conjure up hyperbolic images of Twinkies and Wonderbread to demonize wheat, but lentil soup and hummus just don’t have the same effect. Some legumes, like soy, are even widely considered to be health foods, and marketed as nutritionally superior alternatives to animal products. But that doesn’t make them optimal foods for human beings – just because you can’t find them at McDonald’s doesn’t make them healthy.

Phytic Acid-
Like grains and pseudograins, legumes contain phytic acid. Phytic acid binds to nutrients in the food, preventing you from absorbing them. It doesn’t steal any nutrients that are already in your body, but it does make that bowl of lentils a lot less nutrient-dense than the Nutrition Facts panel would have you believe. For this reason, it’s usually cited as a major downside of these foods, but the truth is clearly little more complicated, because some Paleo-acceptable foods like nuts also contain relatively high amounts of it. Per unit of mass, most nuts actually have a little more phytic acid than most grains and beans.

"You get what you pay for" especially rings true when it comes to your food. BUT that doesn't mean an expensive meal at a restaurant is any better for you than a one dollar cheeseburger. Spend some time and money, buy quality food, cook healthy meals for you and your family and see your health and vitality flourish! I dont wanna hear "I don't have time" because if you don't have your health you don't have ANYTHING....

The number 1 thing I've learned......working out does not work without proper nutrition and proper nutrition will not get you rrripped without working out. This page will explore both parts equally, because devotion to both parts equally in your life will produce the best results. In the near future I am going to discuss the work of Weston A. Price and Dr. Aurthur De Vany, both of which I think give a great insight to the importance of proper nutrition and point out the flaws in our diets. Stay tuned...Thor big!

Obesity and disease are not hereditary, do not believe that for a minute. Poor diet and lifestyles are passed down from parent to child, therefore you will succumb to your parents lifestyle just as they did. They taught you how to eat and live, as they were taught, and they were wrong. Make the changes today. You know in your heart what you've gotta do, but it is so much easier to believe your body, the most amazing thing on this earth, has a flaw? Your ideology is the flaw. Suck it up, you've got nothing to lose.
