☀️ The energy for your workout comes from the SUN… and that’s not a metaphor.

Every muscle contraction in your body is powered by ATP.
That ATP gets its energy from the food you eat.
And the energy stored in that food?
It originally came from sunlight through photosynthesis. 🌱☀️

So every:
💪 lift
🥋 takedown
🏃 sprint
🔥 workout

…is basically converted solar energy.

And if you trace that energy back even further, you eventually reach the origin of the universe itself. 🤯

Science is wild.

Real science isn’t about pretending to know everything. It’s about asking better questions, testing ideas, and continuing the search for truth — much like Jiu-Jitsu.

He defended the neck… so I took the face. 💀

Clean sweep ➜ pass ➜ back take ➜ finish at the IBJJF Europeans.

And before somebody writes a 14-page dissertation in the comments:

“Yes, it was on the face.”

Below the eyebrows?
It’s all neck to me. 🤝

In competition, nobody gives extra points for comfort.
Pressure is pressure.
Control is control.
And if the choke doesn’t get you… the panic usually does.

Honestly one of my favorite sequences because everything connected smoothly:
timing, pressure, angles, and patience.

Ice or heat for an injury? Here’s the simple rule most people get wrong 👀❄️🔥

If the injury is new, swollen, or inflamed → ice is usually the better option.
If it’s tight, stiff, sore, or chronic pain → heat can help improve movement and blood flow.

Using the wrong one at the wrong time can actually slow recovery down — especially if you train BJJ, wrestling, MMA, kickboxing, or lift regularly 🥋💪

Recovery matters just as much as training. Save this reel so you know what to use next time you get hurt.
