I was started in 1969 by Carole and Bob Wisner in Newaygo "Pure" Michigan. I am situated right on the river in Downtown Newaygo on the corner of M-37 and the Muskegon River - The best River in the WORLD!!!!!! Current owners: Rachel Wisner, Gina Wisner Case and Carole Wisner Blair. We want this to be all about you, so with the help of a fantastic team, our goal is to offer individuals, families, g

roups of friends, business, school, scouting and church groups an easy way to experience and enjoy a few hours up to a full day on our local treasure, The Big Muskegon River in Newaygo, "Pure" Michigan. Wahooo! THANK YOU Downriver Wilson’s and Dunbar’s for clearing the limbs from the overhanging tree and making it so we can safely send people down to Anderson Flats!!! We are now open for everything but tubing is still…. Well river is around 61 degrees, so we are not recommending it but it really depends how warm the air gets- we always have the rafts! Come on out, departures until 3:00pm!

We are open 7 days but still only trips starting upriver ending in Newaygo. There are still tree limbs hanging and causing questionable safe passage for our downriver trips. And we still do not have tubes out until the water temperature warms up - hopefully by this weekend 🤞!!!

Okay, so after a CRAZY wild winter and spring, we are finally officially opening tomorrow- May 15!!!!! We still have a smidge high water and some unclear new obstacles from the flooding but we are going to go ahead with “caution” and proceed from there! We are SUPER excited about this season and can’t wait to see all our existing friends, family, and meet all our new friends!!!! Come and see us!!!

The Muskegon River is VERY high and incredibly dangerous. Please do not take chances by getting too close to it. There are many objects floating in it that are not normally…again it is dangerous. Below Croton Dam, all of the low lying /floodplain homes have been asked to be evacuated - essentially this is to get people out before the access to them is flooded. This community is amazing and people are offering homes, help, towing, doctoring, community centers- it is beautiful! I LOVE THIS COMMUNITY! We will get through this! Note: there is not currently any threat of the dams breaking, just the extreme high water and the damage it is going to cause is going to be devastating. Please pray for all those affected by this flooding.

Thanks to EVERYONE that made this season so amazing!!! We appreciate you all so much! Although we are technically closed for canoe and kayak rentals, we can arrange for boat rentals and car spotting all year around (and, with enough notice, some rentals) please call ahead for special trips!
