Some people volunteer for a season.
Some volunteer until the work gets hard.
And then there are the rare individuals who quietly show up year after year, giving their time, energy, patience, and hearts simply because they believe in the kids and the program.
Today, we would like to recognize and thank two incredible women who have dedicated the last five years to Newaygo Rocket Football.
When many youth organizations were struggling to find their footing following COVID, they stepped forward and helped hold this program together. Through countless meetings, long nights, busy weekends, challenges, changes, growth, and success, they remained committed to our athletes and our community.
Our Concessions Director, worked tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our concession operations running smoothly season after season. Many of the successful game days our families enjoyed were made possible through her dedication, organization, and willingness to do whatever needed to be done.
Our Voting Member brought unwavering support to our athletes and our organization. She consistently showed up, offered her time and attention, and helped ensure the voices of our families and community remained represented within the program.
Over the last five years, they have witnessed tremendous change and growth within Newaygo Rocket Football. More importantly, they helped create it. Their volunteer service, leadership, and commitment have contributed greatly to the strength and success of our organization today.
As they step away from their board positions and pass the torch to new members, we want them to know that their efforts have not gone unnoticed. The impact they made extends far beyond meetings, concessions, and board discussions. It lives in the experiences of our athletes, the memories of our families, and the continued success of the program they helped build.
On behalf of Newaygo Rocket Football, thank you for your selflessness, your generosity, your countless hours of service, and your unwavering dedication to this community.
