☀️ Dust, speed, and perfect racing temperatures... that's a pretty good way to spend a Saturday.

Two GLS Cycling riders lined up at the Cedar Blitz Gravel Grinder Race in Cedar Springs, where nearly 600 racers took on some of West Michigan's fastest gravel roads.

Scott tackled the 18-mile race, finding himself in a strong group of six after the field split early. He rode a smart race and still had enough left for a strong finish.

Mike took on the 36-mile race, battling from a less-than-ideal starting position to bridge up to the lead group. He hung on until mile 10 before settling into the chase group and fighting it out to the finish.

With the race ending on Main Street in downtown Cedar Springs, Michigan, it made for a fun and memorable finish to a great day of racing.

Lumberjack 100 lived up to its reputation this weekend. Everyone says it's hard—but you don't truly understand until you experience it.

Amanda absolutely crushed it, finishing in 9:27:46 and taking 8th place in the Women's Open category! After two strong laps, she battled through a tough third lap and came away with an incredible result.

Aaron set a goal of 9 hours and came agonizingly close, finishing in 9:03:17. Cramping hit hard late in lap two and lingered through the final lap, but he kept pushing and got it done.

Tom showed what grit looks like, battling through a difficult third lap and crossing the line just after the 11-hour mark. Quitting was never an option.

Meg's day didn't go as planned. She started strong, but illness forced her to call it early. Sometimes racing reminds us that not every challenge is one we can control. We're proud of the work she put in and know she'll be back.

And finally, a HUGE shoutout to our pit crew. You were the real MVPs—keeping bottles filled, spirits high, and somehow having pizza and margaritas waiting for us at the finish. After a day like that, a pizza never tasted so good.

Some left with podium finishes, some with lessons learned, but everyone left with stories.

Cold start. Like… below freezing while loading the car kind of cold. 🥶
But the sun showed up, and it turned into a perfect day for Mud, Sweat, & Beers - The Filthiest Thing on Two Wheels

GLS Cyclinghad 5 riders take on the Stout race, and the course did not disappoint—fast, dry, and a great mix of singletrack and two-track. With plenty of passing opportunities, it made for a fun and competitive day across the board.

The team brought the effort:

🥇 Aaron Barto taking 1st in his age group

Jeff Vander Maas with a strong 7th

And somehow Cory Hagerman, Jonny McEwen, and Scott Baker all landing in 14th… we’re still trying to figure that one out 😂

Great racing, great conditions, and an all-around solid day for GLS Cycling.

Huge shoutout to the Mud, Sweat & Beers organizers—this race is always incredibly well run, and the post-race atmosphere never disappoints. Already looking forward to next year.

Mud. Miles. Memories. 🚴‍♂️

This weekend at the Barry-Roubaix, GLS Cycling showed up ready to take on whatever Michigan had in store.

And yeah… it delivered.

Days of rain turned the course into a power-sucking grind. At 7AM, the 100-mile crew rolled out—and it didn’t take long before the rain came back, making a brutal course even tougher. By the time the 36-milers hit the course two hours later, the rain had let up…

Speeds were down across the board—15 to 20 minutes slower for many—and it wasn’t hard to see why. Along the course, multiple riders off on the side, clearing mud and doing anything to keep moving.

“Brutal weather conditions made an already difficult course that much more of a challenge. The best part was riding with friends and the amazing volunteers.” That says it all.

For some of us, it wasn’t about PRs—it was about grit. Digging deeper. And finishing anyway.

Because that’s what this race is about.

Huge respect to every rider who lined up, battled the elements, and crossed the finish. And a big thank you to the volunteers who made it all possible.

Same course. Different year. Always a story.

GLS Cycling was represented in the 30-mile distance today, lining up with over 300 other racers in that event alone. When the dust settled, the results were top-tier:

Patricia — 3rd Place (Podium! 🥉)
Johnny — 7th Place on the Fat Bike

Well done to everyone who competed across all the distances today! We’re officially ready for the start line in Hastings next weekend for Barry-Roubaix

Perfect day for a Barry recon with the GLS crew! ☀️

Temps in the 50s and nothing but sun (okay, maybe wore one layer too many). We had a chill rollout from Hastings, but the "Three Sisters" definitely woke the legs up. ⛰️ The gravel was rolling fast and Sager was surprisingly solid—just a tactical game of puddle-dodging.

The group split a bit on "The Wall," but we regrouped at Graveyard to bring it home.

The real highlight? Finding out why that road was "Closed." 🌊 While most of us took the scenic hike-a-bike route through the woods to stay dry, Tom decided to full-on "send it" through the flood.
If it’s still underwater next Saturday, I think we’re all following Tom’s lead.

Spirited finish to the day and the stoke is high. Barry-Roubaix, we’re ready for you! 🏁

What a ride, ! 🚴💨 As the dust settles on an incredible season, we're filled with immense gratitude for every pedal stroke, every challenge, and every victory.
