My fall river season begins in a few days, just wanted to post a friendly reminder here, this spurred from all of the other FB posts from other "guides" If your looking for a guided trip, please...please do your homework on the guide you are looking to book. This time of year there are so many so called *guides* that are looking for the easy money. The licensing requirements in Michigan can vary from a simple inland guide license to very strict USCG license. Several rivers require guides to hold a US forest service outfitter/guide permit as well. I see posts daily and hear of many *guides* that are guiding illegally. Ensuring your with an experienced, licensed, insured guide makes all of the difference in your experience on the water.

Those of us that are actually in compliance with current requirements have so much time, money and resources invested in our business, we truly appreciate your support.

Do your homework, ask questions..before giving your hard earned cash to someone skimming from the system.

Looking like the king run should be strong this year, good to great numbers being caught in Ludington this year.

My only September openings are September 3,5,9. A few early October openings for the Muskegon river Salmon as well.

Just a quick photo dump of a handful of the great fish we've taken photos of these last few months. I'm already looking forward to this next fall, hopefully we return to similar numbers from the past...

Remember...we do offer both trout and smallmouth trips thru the summer. Both flyfishing and ultralight spinning gear trips.
