Alexandra followed the 12-week program on her husband’s recommendation. 
 
First Hyrox. NYC. This past weekend.

Most Hyrox training focuses on doing more. 
 
More volume. 
More running. 
More race simulations. 
 
I think that’s only part of the equation. 
 
Strength, power, durability and work capacity still matter. 
 
That’s why I’ve spent the last few years applying Conjugate principles to Hyrox athletes.

The training is the problem. 
 
Good training makes you ready. 
 
Tired means you have just accumulated fatigue without giving your body the chance to recover and adapt. 
 
Ready means the work has been managed properly and your body has recovered and adapted to it. 
 
If you arrive at every race feeling like you have done enough but never quite peaking or feeling flat  
 
the training is making you tired,  
 
not ready. 
 
That is what the July group fixes.

Eight weeks later he ran 1:19:30 in Cardiff. 
 
Same athlete.  
 
Same commitment. 
 
Four minutes faster. 
 
He was chasing a sub 80 mins goal  
and he nailed it  
 
That does not happen by adding more sessions. 
 
It happens when the training is built properly. 
Every week connected.  
 
Every session with a purpose.

This is for athletes who are done guessing. 
 
Done trying more volume.  
 
Done second guessing their programme. 
 
Done doing random s**t  
 
Done getting to race day knowing something is missing but not knowing what. 
 
For the athlete who wants structure that actually has a logic behind it. 
 
The Hyrox athlete who gets to the back half of every race and watches the time they built slip away before their eyes
