We train champions at The Power Station. Teresa coaches Track & Field throws athletes who are competing to qualify for the National Jr. Olympics. Some will compete in California, some in Des Moines, Iowa, at the end of the summer.
USATF Region 5 qualifer and WestsideTrack Club throwers showed up.
3 athletes
6 events
3 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze
Loren (13) had a monster discus throw of 103'.
Layden (14) had a bug day, but did just fine. She has nothing to be concerned about with regular throws of 110' - 115'
KJ is new to Westside and to say he had "a good day" would be an understatement. Discus was a huge PR. In javelin, his 1st 4 throws were PRs. I took a screen shot of his progressions! He got tired by 4 and tried to hit 100'. He'll get there next week. An almost 30' progression in one meet is crazy!
Todays qualifiers will go to Oberlin in July. Next Saturday is the AAU Regional qualifers who are competing to go to Knoxville, TN.
