WE’RE GETTING EXCITED! ONLY 2 DAYS until !
Breaking the Cycle, Building a Future
Isaiah Duncan once described himself as the son of a single mother and an incarcerated father, and a young man determined to break the cycle of incarceration.
Through the YMCA’s Y-NOW mentoring program, Isaiah found people who believed in him. During the 10-month program, he built a lasting relationship with his mentor, learned lessons that shaped his future, and eventually returned as a youth leader to give back.
Today, Isaiah has added new chapters to his story. He is a Restaurant Development Specialist, a leader, a husband, an advocate for Y-NOW, and a proud father. The cycle he was determined to break ends with him.
With your support, YMCA Safe Place Services can provide help, hope, and healing to teens and families in crisis by changing a life today and a family for generations to come. Make plans to donate on September 10!

Engineering a Bright Future
Quincy “Reese” Barnett’s path toward a career in engineering got an early boost through YMCA Black Achievers. As part of the program’s Engineering Cluster, Reese explored the field and discovered an interest that is now shaping his future.
Today, Reese is attending Morehead State University, studying mechanical engineering. He also received the $15,000 Louisville Water Thomas Family Scholarship, awarded during the YMCA Black Achievers Celebration.
