DBK Strength

DBK Strength I help women build strength so they can participate fully in life.

My approach goes beyond workouts with personalized programming, education, and support so you know what to do, why it matters, and how to keep progressing.

Consistency. Not perfection. Not beautiful. Not the same every single week. But present.

May was a lot! New clients, studio buildout, family activities pulling me in every direction. My life was full in the best and most exhausting way. My training schedule looked different than it normally does and honestly, that is okay. Consistency does not mean identical. It means you keep showing up in whatever way your life allows you to participate that day.

Some days that was a full lift. Some days it was a walk with the dog. Some days it was simply protecting the habit and honoring what my body had to give.

As the studio settles and the pace of life finds its rhythm again, my training routine will even back out. The blocks will get more structured. The schedule will get more consistent. But I never stopped. That is the whole point.

Strength is always an asset, even when the season is chaotic.

If this is your life too, drop a 🙋‍♀️ in the comments. You are not alone in this.

Just wrapped up my last client session in the garage gym and I’m feeling all the emotions.

So much growth happened in the garage. My clients discovered, explored and developed personally, physically and emotionally. I’ve continued to mold my business to represent me, my coaching philosophy, and serve an amazing group of people.

I’m not the woman I was when I started DBK Strength. I’m stronger, more confident, am learning to make changes and take chances without everything planned to a T. I’m happier, less stressed and building a life that allows me to be present for my family.

I’m truly grateful for all those who’ve been on this journey with me. Your support, encouragement, and excitement helps me more than you know.

Here is to the next big step….the DBK Strength studio.

She asked. I coached. And soon we do all of this in one dedicated space built just for us.

DBK Strength is soft opening at 1249 Cocoa Ave, Suite 170 in Hershey, PA this June — and I could not be more excited to bring this vision to life for women in the Hershey area.

For the first time, all of my services come together under one roof. Women's barbell classes, one on one personal training, and workshops — all in an upscale, women's only strength studio where midlife women can participate in their strength without hesitation.

Women's powerlifting and strength training are not just for younger women or competitive athletes. They are for every woman who wants to live an active lifestyle and feel capable in her own body.

Current clients, more details are coming your way soon. You are already part of this.

New here? This is your sign.

Consistency is not a perfect record. It is a long one.

April had lifting days, walking days, and yes, rest days too. That is not a lack of discipline. That is a sustainable lifestyle.

Middle aged women are not failing at fitness. They are working with an impossible standard of what "doing it right" is supposed to look like.

This is what participating in your own health actually looks like month over month. Not all or nothing. Just always something.

This morning a few clients and I participated in the Miles for Matt memorial walk.

It was a beautiful morning for a stroll around downtown Hershey, raising money to support a couple great causes and be in our DBK Strength community.

You don't need to be fit to start strength training. You just need to start.

I know that sounds simple. But for so many women I work with, the hardest part isn't the training itself. It's believing they are allowed to take up space in a weight room. It's quieting the voice that says they've waited too long, that they're too out of shape, that they should already know what they're doing.

You haven't waited too long. And you don't have to figure this out alone.

When women come to me at DBK Strength just starting out, we don't begin with heavy barbells and complicated programming. We begin with habits. Small, repeatable actions that build the foundation everything else sits on.

Here's what that actually looks like in those first weeks:

Moving for just 15 minutes, twice a week. Walking 6,000 steps a day. Drinking 40 oz of water consistently. Protecting sleep like it's part of the plan. And naming one win every single week, no matter how small.

These aren't filler habits. They are the work. They are what builds the capacity your body needs to train hard, recover well, and keep showing up without burning out.

I've seen women go from intimidated and unsure to lifting with confidence, selecting their own weights, and fully participating in their lives in ways they didn't think were possible anymore.

That shift doesn't happen because they found the perfect program. It happens because they built a foundation that actually held.

If you are a woman in midlife who is done waiting for the right moment, done following generic plans that don't account for where you actually are, and ready to invest in coaching that meets you exactly where you are, I would love to talk.

Save this post. Send it to the woman in your life who is ready to start.
