Another Beautiful day here in Michigan on the PM River. Hooked 5 King Salmon today and landed none. It’s not always about landing the fish, sometimes the strike, fight and long distance release is well worth the effort. These King Salmon fight hard, run harder and jump. What more can you ask for. Again today they were all hooked on a Purple Egg Sucking Leech. Here are a few pictures of the PM River.

Another Beautiful PM River Hen King Salmon 38” x 24” full of eggs. She was released to fish her journey and produce the next generation of these Amazing Fish.
She was caught & released on a #4 Purple Egg Sucking Leech.
Ended up hooking 3 again today

Made it to Baldwin Michigan yesterday, to try my luck with Fly Fishing for King Salmon on the Pere Marquet. (PM). Went and looked at several spots on the river for fly fishing today. The water is a little off color due to recent rains that they needed. So today was day 1 of 4 for fishing. It was a great day, 50 degrees in the morning and 78 this afternoon. I hooked into my first salmon on my third swing thru a nice hole. Ended the day with 3 hook ups landing 2 of the 3. Had a big hot buck break me off at the bank. The 2 that I did get in today were really nice hen salmon.
I was swinging Purple Egg Sucking Leeches. Can’t wait to see how the rest of our trip turns out.

What a great Weekend Fly Fishing on Lake Taneycomo in Branson Missouri. My amazing wife took pictures for our son and I, while we fished. Caught a couple Brown Trout one was right at 21” and numerous Rainbow Trout that ranged from 16” to 23”. Hooked a really nice Rainbow that had issues with its picture being taken, so it didn’t stay for picture time. lol. Also hooked a really nice Brown that was up for LDR ( long distance release). It happens. Overall a wonderful trip with family and was lucky enough to fish with a dear friend of mine on Sunday.

Decided to go to Roaring River yesterday (Sunday). Got there about 1:30 pm and fly fished till about 3:30 pm. The water is perfect for fly fishing right now. It is normal flow and gin clear. Caught and Released over 40 Rainbow Trout in the 2 hours of fishing. You don’t half to be there for the buzzer to catch Trout there. Just go and have fun.
