You can keep waiting or just do it! 💪🏻

I get it. As a beginner the gym is intimidating.

What do I do? What if it’s super busy? But people will judge me? I’ve never lifted weights? People will look at me—how do you even use the machines?

All valid points. But they aren’t going to move that needle toward the goal.

You can keep waiting or you can take bold action, amirite? 😉

Keep it Simple:

✨Make a routine of going. That’s it. Just show up!

✨Jump on the treadmill & just observe.

✨If you can, experiment with different times to see when it’s least busy.

✨Ask someone to show you around & explain the machines and areas of the gym.

✨If able, hire an in house personal trainer.

We were all beginners at one point.

And guess what? No one is thinking about you nearly as much as you tell yourself they are.

So do it messy. Do it scared, but don’t let those thoughts hold you back from something priceless: your heath 🤗

Keep it simple stupid 😉

I say that often, and these three steps are the only 3 steps I need plastered all over my walls to remind me what it takes.

This framework came from a leadership book I was reading for my full-time job as a teacher librarian.

In schools, leadership is everything, and it is often lacking in one of these.

The vision, systems, commitment from staff, ex*****on, follow-through and enough time to see if it’s working. That’s how things actually get done, or could get done —and it is where I feel confident as a librarian and school leader: I get sh*** done at school 💁🏻‍♀️

I realized the same principles that help me run my library programs, create and implement curriculum, and move big initiatives forward transfer directly into my personal life and business.

The sequence is simple:

✨ vision — knowing where you want to go
✨ commitment — building systems that support it
✨ ex*****on — taking action, even when it’s messy–or when your colleagues roll their eyes 😜 But in this case when I overthink or am stuck in the cycle of perfectionism.

This is the part I see people struggle with the most — and honestly, the part I am still working on. You can have the roadmap, the goals, and the best intentions, but without ex*****on, you go nowhere.

What’s helped me is shifting the focus from motivation to:
✨ routines over inspiration
✨ non-negotiables over willpower
✨ action over overthinking
✨ forward motion, even when life gets messy

If you feel like you have the vision and you’re ready to commit — but ex*****on around your health and fitness keeps breaking down — this is exactly the work I do inside my 1:1 Chasing Strong coaching.

Simple systems. Real results.

Support, structure, and a plan that fits real life.

If you are reading this and thinking, “well, yup, that’s me” 💁🏻‍♀️, my DMs are always open.

I’m happy to chat and see if it’s the right fit or if you just wanna chat!

You don’t need a new strategy, more content ideas, or the perfect time to post.

You just need to ship it. 🙌🏻

I’ve learned this the hard way—by wasting time wishing I was producing like others instead of doing the actual producing myself.

I spent soooooo much time worrying about what would look best, what others in my industry were sharing, scrolling for inspiration, and trying to find the perfect plan before starting.

And here’s the truth: it never came.

I have plenty of ideas. I am constantly getting “sparks” of inspo. I have lived experience.

So I had to get out of my head. Out of my comfort zone. And embrace the messy.

This year, it’s time to just f’n Ship It, paired with bold, messy action — it might suck. It might get 5 likes. It might not be awe-inspiring, and plenty of people will scroll right along.

But I will never know my true potential or what might “stick” if I don’t try.

What that looks like in practice:
✨ less consuming, more creating
✨ progress over perfection
✨ action before confidence
✨ learning by doing, not watching

Waiting for the right moment. Doubting myself. Ya, that s**t didn’t work out so well.

So this year, I am doing the damn thing—sometimes there is a time and place to throw that spaghetti at the wall and hope it sticks.

Friends: either you make it happen or you keep waiting.

Keep watching others do while you consume.

Not this year, y’all 💁🏻‍♀️

I’ve been digging into the new lunar calendar latey:

How can you not? It’s all over social media

But I love the idea that every year has a theme — something to use for reflection.

For me, 2026 feels like forward motion with intention.
Not panicking. Not forcing. Just choosing bold action over perfection and ex*****on over overthinking.

I’m using The Year of the (fire) Horse as a lens — not for manifestation or magic, but for reflection, discipline, and follow-through.

In 2026, I’m leading into:
✨ Moving before I feel ready
✨ Letting consistency beat perfection
✨ Creating boundaries that protect my energy
✨ Choosing impact over applause
✨ Trusting that discipline creates freedom

If you’re reading this and thinking, “Okay, cool…what does this look like for me?” — Take time to reflect on your 2025 & how you want to show up in 2026:

Ask yourself:
Where am I waiting for clarity instead of taking a bold action–letting it be messy for awhile?
What would change if I trusted my routines and systems more than my motivation?
Where am I craving urgency when patience is what’s required?
How can I better align my goals, my values with my daily actions?

I unpacked this in more depth in the first episode of the pod: Chasing Strong

👉 The latest episode is linked in my bio and below

Save this if you need a little inspiration to see how The Year of the (fire) Horse will show up for you in 2026.

Forward motion counts, even when it seems small. Even when no one is watching. Even when you feel behind.

How I went from new year, new me…

(don’t get it twisted, I love that energy)

but to same me, only an updated model 💁🏻‍♀️

I’ve learned that a new year isn’t throwing old some “old version” of you because that feels like you are discrediting everything you have accomplished or those “rise from the ashes” moments — it’s a reflection.

I see this often with clients and myself. We want progress to come from a big pivot, a bold move, a dramatic shift. But most real change happens quietly — through consistency, boundaries, and choosing what matters over and over again, even when it’s boring and no one is cheering you on.

A few of my lessons from 2025:
✨breakthroughs often come when you don’t quit
✨boring habits beat shiny plans
✨success is built by intention, not motivation
✨why community > comparison, every time

Are you thinking, “same girl, same..” 👋🏻

Ask yourself:

Where am I rushing a process that actually needs more time?

When do I chase shiny new objects when I really just need to commit to the boring stuff?

Am I spending more time on my screen, letting it dictate my worth, rather than spending that time with people in my life?

Do I “wing it” more often than truly committing and executing the plan?

If this is your vibe, I go into reflections like this — plus how they show up in training, fueling, and mindset — inside my newsletter & on the pod!

👉 You can subscribe & listen through the link in my bio.

Just keep showing up, my friends. You’re still in it!
