Keep it simple stupid 😉
I say that often, and these three steps are the only 3 steps I need plastered all over my walls to remind me what it takes.
This framework came from a leadership book I was reading for my full-time job as a teacher librarian.
In schools, leadership is everything, and it is often lacking in one of these.
The vision, systems, commitment from staff, ex*****on, follow-through and enough time to see if it’s working. That’s how things actually get done, or could get done —and it is where I feel confident as a librarian and school leader: I get sh*** done at school 💁🏻♀️
I realized the same principles that help me run my library programs, create and implement curriculum, and move big initiatives forward transfer directly into my personal life and business.
The sequence is simple:
✨ vision — knowing where you want to go
✨ commitment — building systems that support it
✨ ex*****on — taking action, even when it’s messy–or when your colleagues roll their eyes 😜 But in this case when I overthink or am stuck in the cycle of perfectionism.
This is the part I see people struggle with the most — and honestly, the part I am still working on. You can have the roadmap, the goals, and the best intentions, but without ex*****on, you go nowhere.
What’s helped me is shifting the focus from motivation to:
✨ routines over inspiration
✨ non-negotiables over willpower
✨ action over overthinking
✨ forward motion, even when life gets messy
If you feel like you have the vision and you’re ready to commit — but ex*****on around your health and fitness keeps breaking down — this is exactly the work I do inside my 1:1 Chasing Strong coaching.
Simple systems. Real results.
Support, structure, and a plan that fits real life.
If you are reading this and thinking, “well, yup, that’s me” 💁🏻♀️, my DMs are always open.
I’m happy to chat and see if it’s the right fit or if you just wanna chat!
