Sadly, we will not be hosting the Tri-Yak-A-Thon this year. The first photo illustrates the condition of our kayaking course currently, as opposed to the second photo illustrating previous conditions.

Trail conditions for the 7th Annual Tri-Yak-A-Thon are perfect! The one day postponement seems to have worked out well for conditions. Sad for those that can’t make it.
However, if you were holding out because of weather, or conditions, don’t! Tomorrow will be an absolutely gorgeous day to be outside having fun.

10/11/2019

Postponed till Sunday afternoon at 2:00. Registration will open at noon. It will be a beautiful day, come join us.

Tri-Yak-A-Thon update!

Please provide feedback, we're trying to keep you informed and accommodate as much as possible. Nobody wants to postpone, but sometimes conditions exist beyond our control, and acceptance can be a blessing.

So, the Saturday morning start is very unlikely, but we don't want to postpone without a new date. Saturday morning will not only be cold, it doesn’t provide any real drying time for the trails. Considering the forecast for next weekend, the 19th, is not good, we are considering postponing just one day and shooting for this Sunday afternoon at say 2:00 pm.

Still this weekend, but another day and a half of sunny, windy, drying time. THOUGHTS?

Praise God! Finally, some encouraging news! This is a good forecast for the entire week before, and the day of the 7th Annual Tri-Yak-A-Thon!

We have a lot of trail prep to finish, but it appears we have successfully distanced routes for this to be our first actual "20k Tri-Yak-A-Thon". 5k run, 5k kayak, and 10k ride.

Get ready, it will be awesome!

We're still on for Saturday! There will be some slippery areas, but most of the trail will be good. The river is fine, we had kayakers on the river this evening. That's not rough white water in the photo, it's just foam from the spillway.

It's official, we have postponed this event until next Saturday, October 15th. The river has come up over 20 feet since yesterday afternoon.
Regretably, our 3-time, reigning champion, in fact the only overall champion this event has ever had, Chris Jones, will not be available for the reschedule date. I feel bad about this, but I'd feel really bad, but he's going to be in Hawaii, so...
Stay tuned for updates.
