Delaware is under a Code Purple Air Quality Action Day today as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to impact the state.

🔴 A Code Purple means the air is unhealthy for everyone. Everyone should consider limiting prolonged or strenuous outdoor activities, especially during the afternoon and evening.

Those most at risk include:
• Children
• Older adults
• People with asthma, heart disease, or other respiratory conditions

If you notice smoky skies or the smell of smoke, it’s a good idea to keep windows closed, reduce time outdoors, and use air conditioning if available.
