We would like to congratulate EDT & Comp Crew graduating senior, Darcie. She has been a proud dancer at Engage since 2011, starting when she was just 2 1/2 years old. She has been a leading member of our Competition Crew since 2017, EDT since 2020, and we are struggling to say goodbye to such a shining jewel.

Senior Spotlight Questions:

Fav style of dance: Ballet

Fav memory: Hanging out with friends backstage during performances.

Fav things to do outside of dance: Getting food with friends and hanging out with my family and my dog.

Advice to younger dancers: Always be kind and supportive towards your fellow classmates.

Parents’ fav dance memory: Our favorite memory of Darcie is when our shy, quiet little girl stepped on stage at The Raue holding Ms. Kym’s hand and danced ballet for the first time at the age of 3. We have thoroughly enjoyed watching her grow and mature as a dancer throughout her 15 years at Summers and Engage. We are so very proud of all she has accomplished! 

Darcie, you are beautiful inside and out and your dancing brings joy to so many! Congratulations for so many reasons, and we can’t wait to celebrate your final show with us today at 5pm!

The Raue stage will be filled with dancers of every age and level, from our tiniest Baby Ballet dancers taking their first dance steps, to our adult dancers continuing their passion for movement. You’ll see the energy of our Open Division, the excellence of our pre-professional company, Engage Dance Theatre, and the achievements of our Études & Comp Crew competition teams.

Progressions is more than a performance. It’s a celebration of a year’s worth of learning, friendships, confidence, perseverance, and memories. We are so proud of every dancer who will take the stage and can’t wait to share their journey with you.

Our last day of partnering for our EDT dancers L5-Company with the gentlemen from Milwaukee Ballet was yesterday. Our parents joined us for classes, enjoying the process of our unique partnering class. Thank you Mr Marc for guiding this class and MKE gentlemen for being so kind, thoughtful and exceptional mentors in these classes. Introducing our inaugural cast of EDT Dads Dance dancers performing in the Saturday evening show of Progressions this year💪🏼 They came, they learned, they practiced! Then they were joined by their dancers, and again…they came, they learned, they practiced, and experienced many moments both happy and silly! Congratulations Dads, you are all EDT dancers now. Keep on practicing your kick ball changes and we will see you at dress rehearsal ❤️
