Not in January, March, or Tomorrow…..TODAY!

It starts now by taking better care of yourself: getting more sleep, eating healthier foods that bring Life giving energy and hitting the gym.

I cringe every February when I see solicitations for beach bodies, six packs, or solid Glutes….just in time for Spring Break. It’s NOT going to happen. Lasting change takes time, commitment & a shift in perspective -mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and physically.

True health it always long term commitment and life long journey, NEVER a short term fad.

Finishing a fireplace today, the owner (who is a carpenter contractor) was mentioning how much he hates scraping snow of trusses in order to set them in the middle of February. “Why Am I still doing this?” He states the hypothetical question to me..... I replied-“I think the guy in the cubicle thinks the same thing too”. “No Way” he replies....
I do feel the same way many times while I am laying brick or setting scaffold, whether it’s hot or cold outside. I tend to blame that no one guided me in the direction of my innate talents or potential when I was in my young formidable age.
I am guilty of the Victim Mentality- it surrounds us everywhere and yes it’s true our origin is not our fault yet it’s our responsibility to understand what blessings came of it. Otherwise the sinkhole is always waiting for us. We cannot rewrite our family story but include it as a chapter in the novel we are all creating day by day.
My point is this: we all want something we don’t have- better Job, better body, better spouse, etc. What choice must be made to engage your desire to confidentially answer the question “ Why am I still doing this?”
I long for the moment when I absolutely know.........
