Our Story
Tai Ji Quan is an internal Chinese martial art practiced for health and self defense and to improve your overall well-being and longevity. Qi Gong or ‘Energy Skill’ is a practice of aligning breath, movement, and awareness for exercise, health, and meditation. Both are practiced daily by millions for their preventive & curative health functions. By teaching the practitioner to move ‘chi’ (life energy) around the body, the energy channels open and become free-flowing, preventing blockages that can lead to physical, mental and emotional challenges. Classes teach traditional Wu Style Tai Ji Quan. The short form (30 groups of movements) and the long form (108 groups of movements) are explored in separate classes. Classes also include instruction in traditional Qi Gong to improve your strength and balance and reduce stress. Seasonal Qi Gong are also explored for preventative and curative healing powers, in addition to Taoist Yoga including The Swimming Dragon, Eight Pieces of Brocade, and Tai Chi Ruler systems of exercise.
