It sounds like everyone took a well-deserved long weekend off from wrestling. Please note that New Fairfield is the last tournament before the Western Connecticut League Championships on Sunday, January 31, 2016. Participating in this tournament is great preparation for the League Championships. There will still be a few weekend tournaments after the League Championships as well as State Qualifiers & Championships if anyone is interested - see below.

Here is the information for the next wrestling tournament:
•New Fairfield Rebel Rumble Wrestling Tournament is Sunday, January 24, 2016.
•It will be held at New Fairfield High School, 54 Gillotti Road, New Fairfield, CT.
•Each wrestler will have a total of 3 matches within a 4 -man bracket.
•Elementary age wrestlers: skin check 7:45-8:30, wrestling 9:00 AM. Middle school age wrestlers: skin check 11:15-12:00, wrestling 12:30 PM.
•If your boys are interested in attending, please email Coach Joe by THURSDAY, JANUARY 21ST as he will need to register everyone by the Friday, January 22nd deadline. Walk-ins are not allowed.
•There is a $20 non-refundable registration fee for the first wrestler, second wrestler (from the same family) is $14. This fee can be payable to Coach Joe.
•Both elementary and middle schoolers can compete; each will have 3 matches with medals being awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
•Feel free to speak with Coach Joe at practice Thursday.

•Sunday, February 7th - Danbury Hall of Fame
•Sunday, February 7th - Southington Beginners
•Sunday, February 21st - STATE QUALIFIERS @ Danbury
•Sunday, February 28th - STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS @ Hillhouse, New Haven
•Sunday, March 6th - Thomaston Second Chance States
