Tired of feeling old before your time? 😩
If pain, stiffness, or that general feeling of being "locked up" is keeping you from living your life, you don't have to just "deal with it."

As a movement specialist with a B.S. in Exercise Science and expertise in Fascia Stretch Therapy (FST), I don't just treat the symptom—I help your body reset and stay reset.

What I address:
Chronic stiffness that won't budge.
That "locked up" feeling in your neck, back, or hips.

Trouble moving easily throughout your day.

Tension and pain caused by a stressed nervous system.

I combine 7 years of personal training with 4 years of FST and bodywork to get you moving again—smoothly, easily, and without pain.

When I'm telling people about what I do I often bring up the topic of Fascia The information in this infographic is why.

Fascia is such an integrated and important network in our bodies. When I'm trying to help people move better and feel better, the fascia system is what I'm trying to work with the most because it literally affects every single part of our body because your fascia wraps around and through each and every one of your organs, muscles, nerves, blood vessels, bones and more.

It is probably the most important sensory in our body, holding us together and is the reason we move the way we do.

Its been such a fun week working with local Treasure Valley Athletes! Running a stretch and recovery clinic on Tuesday with the women's Boise Thorns team and then seeing a Boise Timbers mens team game on Sunday and seeing how well the new men's team has been doing so far this season!

Gotta thank Kelly Ann Potter and Idaho Semi Pro Soccer for the opportunity to work with these fantastic athletes and help build high level athletics here in Idaho!

First half marathon and first time running
I've never been a huge endurance athlete but I have to admit I was glad I trained for and ran this race. I cant say I enjoyed every part of it. Especially the last two or so miles. But I accomplished my goal of running it this first time in under two and a half hours. I got 2 hours and 22 minutes. I'll gladly take that for my first time around.

Fascia is has become the center of attention in recent years and for good reason. The reason your muscles can transfer load and energy through your bones and joints is because of fascia. That and it has become clear over the last several years that fascia is a huge sensory and communication network utilized by the nervous system. Keep up with us me if you want to learn more about fascia and how it affects your body every day. 💪💪

When we are consistently training our muscles and therefore our fascia in consistent movement patterns, first off the facial tissue surrounding our muscles, tendons and ligaments used in that movement pattern grows thicker and stronger. Secondly that tissue forms in a spring-like pattern allowing for a stretch and rebound action needed for repeated or quick movements.

This is one very important reason why baseball pitchers can whip their arm across their body to throw a fast-ball or how we can run fast or long distances loading the tissue connected to the ankle, foot and calf such as the achilles tendon.

However if we are not training, loading or stretching those tissues, they become thinner and grow in disorganized patterns that can become tighter and less mobile or strong.
