Austin lost one of the pioneers in civil servants and someone who dedicated his whole life to charity, serving so many charities from local, to state, to National boards, my dad Stacy Lopez. Thank you for introducing me to Lions Municipal Golf Course and all the city courses. I never got one lesson before receiving multiple full scholarships to play college golf. He taught me by taking me out early, watching the best golfers, and had me study and visualize what the best golfers were doing. This is the reason why I am a coach, I learned to study the best at an early age..

Not only did he serve so many charities , he was also the President of the biggest non profit Hispanic golf organization in the US and serving on the national board as well, Pan American Golf Association.

Thank you dad and thank you Save Muny for all the support you have given our family throughout the years! Until we meet again 🙏 I am honored to be your son and know I will keep the charities going!

Austin Golf Academy would like to recognize another one of our OG’s, the Mayor of Muny Henry Phipps Cardwell Henry Cardwell! One of the biggest supporters of Save Muny I can still remember our first lesson so many years ago. A true blessing to have HC in our lives, his dedication to the game, his work ethic, and his hunger for knowledge on the daily has made him who he is, he has fought and earned everything he has achieved. Congrats on committing to Sewanee Men’s Golf, continuing education through athletics, they are getting a good one! Thanks to all the coaches involved in helping HC’s development!
