WILLOW CREEK WALKABOUT is almost here! We have the discs ordered. I have a wide variety of amazing halo, duo, glow halo, etc all with some awesome artwork done by Monique Ritcherson-Meador. I was able to put together a players pack for ams despite the lower entry fee. Enjoy!

A HUGE thank you to Innova Discs for their support; without them we could not provide the value that we do for players. They have supported Humboldt Disc Golf for over 30 years. Thank you Innova.

A couple things:

(1) work parties with beverages and treats provided will happen on May 30 and June 6. We have a big head start already on the course and it’s actually playing pretty good now, just a bit shaggy here and there. The poison oak is manageable, so don’t wuss out. We’re winning that battle!

(2): I do have camping available at my house if you’re wondering where to stay.

(3): bring swimsuit for after-tournament swim party down past hole 4/5 in the Trinity River.

(4): we’ll have pizza for lunch on Saturday, so lunch is taken care of.

(5): Players meeting is at 0830 Saturday June 13, discs fly at 9am.

This is the best little tournament around, please come!

We need your help to get Chinook DGC in tip top shape for the 2026 Willow Creek Walkabout!

Cold drinks (beer and non-alcoholic) will be provided!

Bring weedwhackers, mowers, and other tools to help clean up fairways! Work gloves and clothes appropriate for getting dirty!

Volunteers will get special treatment for choosing groups and starting holes!

- This Sunday, May 10th, will be casual play of the new 18-hole course in the lower part of the property, with a few short "stick pick-up" breaks as we play. Free to attend, 11:11 start. BUDDHA TREE 2026!

Weather report from Belchik:
Sunday has a cutoff low spinning up from SoCal and wandering its way up the central valley. If it pushes a little further west than the models indicate, there could be a shower or 2 over BOP on Sunday. But the chances are fairly low, and the amounts would be small. Because it’s coming from the south, it’ll stay warm. Winds should be fairly light and variable, but it’s BOP so “light” means 10-20mph out of the southwest.

KB is implementing the poison oak relief rule this year. So if that’s a reason you haven’t signed up, GET IN HERE!

Looks like this year is going to be an epic weekend!
