Upper Clutha Rugby Club Established in 1922, Upper Clutha Rugby Club has a proud history in Wanaka. The clubrooms offer one of the most spectacular views in the country.

Upper Clutha Rugby Football Club is a well established icon in the Central Otago Southern Lakes districts. We have teams catering for those starting out in the Junior teams through to Colts and our Premier team "The Rams". Our playing season starts around March through to august.

This weekend marks a huge milestone for one of the Upper Clutha Rams’ finest, as Lachie Garrick runs out for his 100th game in the black and gold!

Since making his Rams debut back in 2017, Lachie has been a cornerstone of the club, earning the respect of teammates, coaches and supporters through his commitment, toughness and passion for the jersey.

Over his 100-game journey, Lachie has helped the Rams achieve some incredible success

From a young player making his debut to becoming a senior leader and club stalwart, Lachie has embodied everything it means to be a Ram. His dedication to the club, his teammates and the Upper Clutha community has made him an inspiration both on and off the field.

Playing one game for the Rams is a privilege bringing up 100 games is a testament to loyalty, resilience and commitment.
