It’s not just the climbs, the views, or the feeling of finally reaching the finish. It’s the people you meet along the way. The conversations with strangers who become friends. The shared suffering, the laughter, the aid station banter, and the stories swapped afterwards over pizza and beer.

For a few hours, emails, deadlines and everyday worries fade into the background. Instead, there are rocky trails, big skies, mountain goats, and a community of people who understand why we do this.

Nothing says "spiritual awakening" quite like paying good money to get completely dismantled by a mountain in Central Otago. 🙃⛰️

You won't be sure if you're reaching enlightenment or just hallucinating from lack of oxygen, but breaking through that cloud inversion layer feels like entering heaven early—mostly because the climbing is finally over. ☁️🏃‍♂️

Turns out, the quickest way to find inner peace is chasing it up a trackless, snowy ridge until your brain completely shuts off.

Stripped of ego on the ridges, awakened at the summit. Mt Difficulty isn't just a race; it's a legally binding trauma-bond with nature. 🏔️✨

Less than 4 weeks away!

🧗‍♂️ Mt Difficulty Ascent
44km long. 3000m of climbing.
Sounds brutal, right?
But think about it:
✅ 500m of vert? Smashed out in 1km.
✅ Another 1000m? Dealt with over in just 3km.
✅ That means less than 1500m of climbing spread across the other 40km.
So honestly…
It’s basically flat.
Basically a recovery run. 💪
