My name is Jake Ryan, and I’m the Event Manager for Beach 5’s NZ.
We’re excited to announce that DAIKIN Beach 5’s is returning to Mount
Maunganui on 27–29 November 2026!
Now in its fifth year, Beach 5’s is coming back to The Mount following a
record-breaking 2025, where we had 61 teams and more than 730 players
hit the sand!
Beach 5’s is all about bringing rugby, fun and whānau together in a
unique setting. It’s fast, exciting, social and a great opportunity to
get your club, mates or team together for a weekend of rugby on the
beach.
We currently have 44 teams registered, with 81 days still to go until
registrations close.
This year, we’re especially looking to grow our:
🏉 Open Men
🏉 Open Women
🏉 Colts (Under 21's)
🏉 Masters (Over 45's)
Other divisions are:
🏉 Year 5/6 Boys
🏉 Year 5/6 Girls
🏉 Year 7/8 Boys
🏉 Year 7/8 Girls
🏉 Year 9/10 Boys
🏉 Year 9/10 Girls
🏉 Year 11/12/13 Boys
🏉 Year 11/12/13 Girls
We already have teams coming from Auckland and Wellington, so we’re
calling on our Bay of Plenty rugby whānau to step up and make sure the
title stays right here at home.
Whether you’re a club team, a group of mates, or just keen for a
different kind of rugby experience, we’d love to have you involved.
