BOP Surge Trial Info

Sunday 13th September
MERCURY BAYPARK ARENA – SOUTH ENTRANCE
Open from 8.30am

FYI there is an outside event taking place on Sunday - please allow ample time to find parking!

GIRLS TRIALS:
U17 and U19: 9AM - 10.15AM
U15: 10.30AM - 11.45AM

BOYS TRIALS:
U15: 9AM - 10.15AM
U17 and U19: 10.30AM - 11.45AM

* Reminder - cost to cover operational costs for trial is $15 per person.

PAY ON DAY - EFTPOS ONLY

Players must be checked in and paid $15 prior to going on to the court

All players must be registered to trial - this is done online at https://fctm.co.nz/futsal

Don't forget to wear futsal shoes or non-marking sneakers and bring a water bottle!

A potential further 2 trials will be held - updates will be available by 13th September.

After a tough first 2 days, just missing out on top 16, the girls won the rest of their games to win the bowl. The ended the tournament only losing 1 game (1-2) against eventual 3rd place.

Mount Maunganui College 1st XI Boys finish with the silver medal at the Malcolm Cowie Tournament 2026.

A standout week for this group and they have represented the Mount Maunganui College community extremely well and with so much pride.

A talented group of young men who we cannot talk highly enough of both on and off the field.

Congratulations and good luck to all WaiBOP football players representing their schools at Tournament Week around the country this week!

Eight boys tournaments and six girls tournaments are taking place across the country, organised by NZ Secondary Schools Football (NZSS Football).

The Boys Premier Tournament is happening in Palmerston North, with five schools from our region competing.

The Girls Premier Tournament is hosted at Crown Park, in Taupo, with eight schools from the WaiBOP region competing.

The WaiBOP region is hosting a total of four football tournaments this week:

The Trident Tournament is being hosted at Ray Boord Park and Westbrook Fields, Rotorua.

Gower Park in Hamilton is hosting the Grant Jarvis Tournament (Girls).

The Hillsdene Junior Tournament (Boys) is hosted by Fergusson Park and Waipuna Park, Tauranga.
