Community football doesn't happen without volunteers.

Every week, thousands of people across Aotearoa give their time to coach, referee, manage teams, organise draws, mark fields, run clubrooms, wash bibs, and support players of all ages.

During National Volunteer Week, we'd love to celebrate the people who make football possible.

⚽ Tag a volunteer in the comments who deserves a thank you.

⚽ Tell us what they do and why they make a difference.

⚽ Clubs, teams, federations, referees and football whānau — join in and help us recognise the people who are often the first to arrive and the last to leave.

This July - Two-day Development Programme for U14 and U16 female players.

Dates: 8–9 July 2026
Ages: Born 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013
Venue: Tauranga Boys' College
Time: 9.00am – 3.00pm
Cost: $100 per player
Food: Morning and afternoon snack and lunch provided

⚽ Train with experienced coaches, including from NRFL Youth League teams
⚽ Develop technical and tactical understanding
⚽ Learn through game-based coaching and match play
⚽ Participate in football-focused classroom sessions
⚽ Experience the standards and expectations of an advanced youth football environment

This programme is for those female players currently involved in the NRFL Girls Youth League, as well as those who wish to see what the environment is like - and perhaps aspire to play at that level in the future.

This is not a typical holiday programme, this is an opportunity to challenge yourself, learn alongside like-minded players, and gain insight into what the next step in your football journey could look like.
