What a weekend! The energy at the recent North Island Champs Masters Regatta was absolutely electric, and honestly, the Bay Coast energy set the tone for the entire weekend. From our wide-eyed first-year novices (who handled their pre-race nerves like absolute champs) to our seasoned “pros”, who have represented the club through the years with that quiet, grit-and-grace confidence … every single person rowed with heart & soul, in full evidence that the Bay Coast community is thriving.
Some Highlights
🥇Gold Standard: A huge shoutout to the several crews who brought home Gold (see results below) in their respective races! The hard work & training leading up to the regatta has truly paid off.
🤝The Real Win: While the medals are shiny, the real goal was always about something bigger. We set out to "race our own race," compete to the absolute best of our abilities, and – most
importantly – have fun in the process. Mission accomplished 🥇
🎉The Collective: Hearing the cheers and support from the grand stand reminded us that while rowing might happen in a boat, the strength of this club is also built on the land.
