Tumbling is growing fast in New Zealand, and we’re looking for new athletes to join our programme!

Whether your child already has strong tumbling skills, competes in gymnastics or cheer, or simply loves flipping, jumping and moving, there may be a pathway for them at Hutt Valley Gymnastics.

Our tumblers have had an incredible competition season, achieving fantastic results, and we’re excited to continue growing our Competitive Tumbling Programme.

Happy Father's Day from Hutt Valley Gymnastics!

Today we're celebrating the dads and father figures who are part of our HVG community. Whether it's doing drop-offs and pick-ups, volunteering at club events, lending a hand behind the scenes, or supporting their children at competitions and in the gym every step of the way, thank you for everything you do 🧡

A huge congratulations to our Hutt Valley Gymnastics athletes and officials who have been selected to represent Wellington at the 2026 XP Gymnastics Nationals in Tauranga.

From 29 September to 3 October, New Zealand’s top gymnasts will come together at Mercury Baypark for five days of competition, and we can’t wait to see our athletes shine on the national stage.

Being selected to represent Wellington is a fantastic achievement and reflects the hard work, dedication, and commitment shown throughout the season.

Could your child be our next competitive tumbler? 🤸

Competitive tumbling is growing rapidly across Wellington and New Zealand, and we're looking for new athletes to join the Hutt Valley Gymnastics Tumbling Programme!

We're recruiting through two pathways:

🌟 Development Pathway (Ages 6–12)
✅ Confident with a strong roundoff
✅ Keen to learn, train and compete
You don't need advanced tumbling skills to get started. We're looking for potential and will help athletes build the foundations needed to progress into competitive tumbling.

🔥 Competitive Pathway
Already have strong tumbling skills?
We're looking for athletes who can confidently perform skills such as a roundoff-back handspring-back tuck and may be ready to join our competitive programme straight away.
This pathway may suit:
✅ Gymnasts
✅ Cheerleaders
✅ Former gymnasts or cheerleaders
✅ Athletes from other sports with strong tumbling ability

Current HVG athletes are also welcome. We'll work with athletes and their coaches to help tumbling fit alongside their existing training commitments whenever possible.

Looking for an active addition to your homeschooling week?

Our Homeschool Gymnastics class for ages 10+ provides a supportive environment where participants can build confidence, improve coordination, develop strength and flexibility, and learn new gymnastics skills at their own pace.

👧 Ages 10+

Have a group looking for a fun and active experience? We also welcome group bookings from homeschool groups, schools, and community organisations.
