Karapoti Gorge

This is an awesome loop of roughly 22k.

Starts off with a gentle run next to the river, before a decent climb up the 4 wheel drive track, a photo op at Birchville Dam and the back out on the road to Karapoti Road.

Meet at Huia at 8am or 8.45 at Karapoti Road.

After a steady climb up the Karapoti Gorge, we visit Craig Flat and the Birchville Dam.

Ramp up your training for Blue Lakes this Sunday with our dead flat Dingaling Run.
There's the 12km starting loop, add in Melling Bridge (15km), Kennedy Good Bridge (20km), or a jaunt along Te Ara Tupua (21km). And for the super keen, do the whole lot! ie Te Ara Tupua and Kennedy Good Bridge. = 29km
Meet at Huia at 8am and see where you end up!

In 1998 I understand the Mangaroa Marathon was renamed the Upper Hutt Marathon (which I have the results for already).

From other result years, I see the Mangaroa Marathon was organized by the Rimutaka Harrier Club & I presume this club has disbanded?

I am trying to compile my Full List of Marathons and would be so very grateful for anyone who can help.

Sweetacres! Put on your woollies and join us for this great run. Enjoy the view from the Belmont Airstrip, check out the bunkers from WWII, or choose a shorter option. Something for every type of runner!

Not to be missed!! Gradual hills up and down, tunnels and bacon!!!
This week we have our Reverse Remutaka Run!! It's a 2 hour run along the Remutaka Incline, from Cross Creek and you need to book the bus on the link below.
Meet at Huia at 8am for carpooling, or message below if you want to join the group at Kaitoke at 8.30am where everyone gets on the bus to Cross Creek. Bacon butties at the end makes it all worthwhile!

Bus to the Wairarapa and run back to Kaitoke. Book now to secure your place on the bus.
