Bit of a 'hard word' : Some of you are still not scanning in (despite walking past the screen saying 'scanning is compulsory'). This is a big deal. The liability and potential fines you place on us are far higher than what your membership contributes. It's not complicated. We'll need to start removing those that don't follow this - the risk is way too high.
You've been provided two barcode/scan cards, and can also use the app to scan in, so there's no excuse!

Booking for all sparring and advanced classed is (still) compulsory - your scan wont work if you dont book, so you shoudnt be entering the gym.

NEW COMP — just book and scan. Easy.

Now that the system change is mostly sorted, I’ll run a comp to persuade people to book.

Remember, booking classes helps us prevent fee increases, so it’s for your own long-term benefit.

Booked and scanned class = 1 entries

Training with no scan = −10 entries

You should never enter the gym without scanning anyway— it’s a liability issue. This includes attending sparring or advanced classes without the compulsory booking.

If you’re unsure what you need to work on, when you can move into sparring or advanced classes, or what’s required before asking for a fight, check there first.

Any fighters looking to book fights should also be forwarding the completed forms on this page so I know you are doing the work.

I’ll keep building on this page if people are using it—so have a look and let me know what else would be useful to you!

NEW SHORTS ORDER 🥊

We’re putting together a new Fight Lab Muay Thai shorts order, made in Thailand.

Pre-order your own pair:

• Choose any colour combination
• Add your name or nickname to the leg

$90 — your colour choice
$100 — with your name added or any other variations

The sample pair is currently being produced. I’ll post photos and a clip as soon as it’s finished.

Order cut-off: 21 August
Orders must be paid in full by the cut-off date.
Expected arrival: 11 September

📱 **NEW APP THIS WEEKEND**

We’re switching Fight Lab over to our new system this weekend. **Check your email for your setup details.**

From next week, all bookings, contact and other member functions will run through the new app.

**TRAINING PROGRAMS**

Programs will be loaded gradually:

• Personal/custom programs will be added first.
• Generic programs will be added as I get the chance.
• If you’re currently using a generic program, please note down its contents so you can keep training while it’s being transferred.

**RESOURCES**

Please familiarise yourself with the Resources section. I’ll continue building it, but plenty of common questions are already answered there—including when you can start sparring, progression through classes and fighting.

Anyone looking to book a fight this year should also be completing the forms in this section to show that you’re doing enough work.

More features—including the shop, orders and payments—will be added over the next few weeks.

So sometimes you don't need many entries to win! Managing to beat out the combined efforts of the Santos boys, Raghnall gets the win.
(And I even managed to complete the draw with 30 minutes to spare!)

Last week, here's a chance to get your entries up.
Booked trainings still get you in too!

Reminder- (as per notices around the gym)
All advanced classes and sparring classes must be booked (one hour before the class).
Warm-up and techniques based on bookings, and sometimes sparring classes will be combined, depending on numbers.
It's an incredibly easy step! You just have to bother to do it.

Also remember, in advanced classess you're expected to have your shinguards and be using them! And strongly suggested to have elbow pads (it's Muay Thai, not kickboxing). Can't drill proper elbow technique without em. That means you'll be going into a fight disadvantaged.

Bookings for regular adult classes are very strongly recommended and requested (I've ensured the booking system is very easy) this our best step to ensure we don't have to raise prices, but it's completely dependent on you!
