With many teams beginning to get going for the season, we are sharing a few tips for a smooth registration process!

If you have registered previously, you should have received an email over the summer inviting you to re-register. Otherwise, you can access the link to register / login https://irfu.sportsmanager.ie/sportlomo/registration/member-registration/club/2359
or from club website home page www.westportrfc.ie

Please allow yourself plenty of time, don't leave it to the last minute as registrations left open going into the weekend may not be completed in time.

If you are finding registration difficult to complete on your mobile device, try switching to a laptop or tablet

Please ensure that any photo upload requirements such as current headshots or ID are met correctly, to avoid delays in approval

⚪🔵🏉🔥Women’s 10s Invitational Cup Saturday 5th of September ⚪🔵🏉🔥

A great day was had in Joe McGovern Park this weekend, as Round 1 of the Senior Ladies Invitational Cup took place.

We welcomed Creggs RFC and Claremorris RFC - and kicked off the first games of the 2026/27 season.

The day was the epitome of the Spirit of Rugby - with new introductions, senior debuts, laughs, and even some jersey swapping.

We would particularly like to congratulate our 4 players who got to play their first game of Senior Ladies rugby on Saturday since graduating from Youths: Martyna, Emily, Daya and Roisin 🎉

Looking forward to Finals Day in Creggs RFC next week!

REMINDER ⚪🔵🏉🔥Women’s 10s Invitational Cup Saturday 5th of September

We’re looking forward to kicking off the new season on Saturday, 5th September, when we host the Women’s 10s Invitational Cup at Westport RFC.

The 10-a-side format, with 15-minute games, should make for plenty of fast-paced, competitive rugby and a great afternoon at the club.

We’re delighted to be launching something new at Westport RFC this season — an opportunity for women of all ages to get involved in rugby in a fun, friendly and welcoming environment.

Whether you’ve watched from the sidelines for years, have children involved in the club, played sport before, or simply fancy trying something completely new — this is for you.

No rugby experience needed and no pressure — just a chance to get active, have a bit of fun, meet new people and be part of the Westport RFC community.

We’d love to see plenty of new faces giving it a try. Bring a friend along too!

3 boys in action for Connacht youths teams yesterday.
Felix Zeray played for the u19s against Ulster.
Connacht had a lot of possession and good position but the final pass never seemed to stick in real greasy conditions.

Westport U18 girls play for Connacht today beating Ulster 33-15 in Mullingar RFC.
