The committee at Crusaders AFC is delighted to announce that we have been awarded the FAI Club Mark accreditation.

The FAI Club Mark is a nationally-recognised accreditation awarded to clubs that demonstrate the highest standards in governance, administration, coaching, safeguarding, and player development. It recognises the hard work that goes on behind the scenes to ensure a safe, well-organised and professionally run environment for all players, coaches, volunteers and families.

This achievement is a testament to the dedication of our volunteers, committee members, coaches and players who give their time, energy and experience to ensure we are a club striving for excellence both on and off the pitch.

Receiving the Club Mark reflects our commitment to best practice, player welfare, coach education and providing the best possible football experience for everyone involved in our club.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this achievement. This is an important milestone for the club, and we look forward to continuing to build and develop the club on and off the field for many years to come. 🔵🔴⚔️

Match Report:
Azzurri Division 2B
Wednesday, 10th June 2026
Piltown AFC 0 – 3 Crusaders AFC

Our annual trip to Kilkenny in the June sunshine brought about a win for Eoin & Cian’s charges on Wednesday evening, with a solid performance against a game Piltown side.

With several players unavailable for a midweek selection due to a combination of work commitments, injuries and the lure of San Diego, the depth of this 2B squad really shone with a strong side taking to the field.

Crusaders took the lead in the 20th minute, with a finish from distance from Ben Brophy, with the assist from the visionary Tommy Smyth. That lead could have been more if it wasn’t for some fine goalkeeping by Piltown’s number 1 and the help of the woodwork.

The second half saw more of the same, with the second goal arriving on 57 minutes as Paddy O’Neill’s measured pass was latched onto and brilliantly finished by Cameron Kent. Cameron then turned provider in added time with a mazy run and cross which was finished off by Evan Kiely, stealing the ball from Harry Ryan’s toe.

Best for Crusaders were the Richard’s brothers, yet again with flawless performances, Jordan Wall and the indisputable player of the match Donal O’Connor, who delivered a performance for the ages, fizzing in crosses and shots all game and generally tormenting the Piltown defence.

Once again, thanks to our ever-loyal travelling support for coming out; great to see such numbers willing to travel to watch (and undoubtedly learn from) the best the 2B division has to offer! 🔵🔴⚔️

We have a winner! Mr. John Moran, never likely to miss much when it comes to Crusaders. A bunch of limited edition, top quality designer club merch winning its way to you sir.

And before anyone raises their eyebrows, John did the right thing and sent his answer by DM, rather than tipping others off with public answers. 😅😅
