Well done to the WBC Womens Junior squad on some great performances today at Fermoy Regatta.
First win to come was well above their grade in the Womens Senior quad with a tough but solid win over Kilorglin RC by just under a length.
Then a quick change on the bow seat in the WBC boat and back to the start for the Junior Quad again against a tough Kilorglin boat. This time the WBC crew had to dig deep to overcome their opponents in the last few strokes to win by half a canvas.
Well done to Edie, Katie, Molly and Faye (Senior 4x) and Hannah (Junior 4x) and expertly coxed by Aine.
Rachel and Moya raced well in the Junior double scull and we're very unlucky to not make the final.
Edie and Katie were back in action later in the day winning the Senior double scull over the hosts to make it three from three.
Final win of the day to Molly O'Flynn in the women's single, her third win of the day but she came away with the most impressive prize of all.
Thanks to Fermoy Rowing Club for being fabulous hosts on a great day's racing.

🎉 🎉 🎉 🎉
Congratulations to Waterford Boat Clubs Edie O'Flaherty and Katie Fitzpatrick on their selection represent Ireland at the Home International regatta as part of the Womens Junior Sweep team.

The work rate from these two athletes has been fantastic this year and a well deserved reward.

They will race at the Home Countries Regatta at London Docklands on 25th July with athletes from Shandon BC and Galway RC.

Very well done girls.
