Help us make Spa GAA an Autism Friendly Club!
Over the past number of months, our Health & Wellbeing Committee, along with other club volunteers, have been working behind the scenes towards Spa becoming an Autism Friendly Champion as part of Autism Friendly Killarney.
For us, this is about much more than achieving a status. It’s about continuing to make Spa a club where everyone feels welcome, understood and that they belong. 💙💛
Sometimes a little understanding can make a big difference — whether that’s a coach communicating differently, recognising when someone needs a break, or simply helping a child, adult or family feel more comfortable and included.
🙌 Now we need your help!
We’re asking coaches, committee members, players, parents and volunteers to complete the AsIAm Autism Friendly Community Training by 31st October.
💻📱🎧 It’s easy to fit into your day! Complete the training on your phone, tablet or computer, or pop in your headphones and listen while you’re out walking. You could even get some laps in around Spa at the same time! 🚶♀️🚶♂️

📋 Once you’ve completed the training, your confirmation will be emailed to you.
As part of the AsIAm process, we need to keep a record of everyone who has completed the training, so please simply forward your confirmation to:
📧 [email protected]
Already completed the training? We’d love you to forward your confirmation too! 💙
🎯 Our goal is to get as many people as possible across Spa GAA trained by 31st October!
Every person who completes the training helps us build a more understanding and inclusive club.
💙💛 A little bit of time from each of us could make a big difference to someone else.
Let’s work together to make Spa GAA a club where everyone feels they belong! 🧩
