Mastergeeha B 2
Killarney Athletic c 1
Geeha push top of the table Athletic all the way in the 1st half. They were awarded on the 20th min with a brilliant thru ball from lochlan O callaghan, it was calmly finished to the net by Thade Glesson.
5 mins later, the outstanding Shane Counihan played lochlan O callaghan in and lochlan smashed the ball to the Athletic net. 2 nil geeha..
Jack Doyle made some great stops to keep athletic out...
2nd half... Athletic made it 2-1 with 20 mins left.. Some great saves by 2nd half keeper Shay Dennhy kept geeha in the lead..
Jack Doyle came on up front with 10 mins left and went 1 on 1 with the keeper to finish the game off... Athletic keeper was brave and denied Jack a goal...
Well done to both sets of players.
Thanks to the ref, who helped both sets of players today.
Best of luck to Athletic for the rest of the season.
Player of the match
Shane Counihan.
Special mention to both Thade and lochlan scoring their 1st goals for the club.
