Mastergeeha FC were delighted to welcome Brian McCarthy again to Kilbrean Park this morning for a coaching workshop with 20x of our coaches from grassroots right up to Senior. The 4 hour workshop
was both on the pitch and indoors covering various different topics.🥅

Our U13s boys had a great practical 2x hour session on the pitch with Brian and our coaches with great discussions, demonstrations on technical and tactical presentations in the workshop. Brian also designed a Mastergeeha coaching manual for all participants providing lots of exercises, games, warm ups, practices which will deliver valuable coaching to our players over the season ahead. 📚💻

Brian is a former FAI RDO in Kerry and Technical Analyst to the Republic of Ireland Senior Mens International team produced an excellent workshop catered to Mastergeeha needs. 🇮🇪

On behalf of Mastergeeha FC committee we want to thank Brian for the workshop. It's always a full house for our yearly coach education days. It was really enjoyed by both players and coaches.

An excellent first half saw Mastergeeha lead 3 - 0.
Some excellent work from Neassa O Sullivan down the wing created the first
Gracie Maher latched on to a through ball and finished cooly to get the 2nd
Just before half time, a debut goal from Emily O Donoghue who fired to the top corner.
The second half ebbed and flowed but when The Park scored two quick goals, mastergeeha girls backs were to the wall. Up steps goalkeeper and captain for the night, Ellie Fleming with some vital saves and lead by a very influential Anniemai O Donoghue at centre back Mastergeeha held out. Some great performances throughout but Olivia O Connor shone the brightest with some powerful running and determination in midfield.
Thank you to The Park for a very sporting match, we look forward to meeting later in the season

U15 Girls Premier

Mastergeeha 2-0 Killarney Athletic

Our U15 Girls got their Premier League campaign off to the perfect start with a 2-0 win over our familiar foes and near neighbours Killarney Athletic.

As always, there was very little between the two sides in a highly competitive and evenly contested game. The difference came from two excellent finishes, with Laura Breen and Anabelle Casey finding the net to secure the victory.

Well done to both teams on a great contest, and thanks to Killarney Athletic for a very sporting game. Best of luck to them for the rest of the season.
