Dear Customers,
As 2024 approaches, we would like to inform all our customers of the exciting direction The Gym Dundalk will take in the new year. After an incredible 40 years with Micky at the helm, The Gym will fully transition under the management of Aaron and Body 4 Life from January.
This change marks a new chapter in the remarkable life of The Gym. As past and current customers will know, it has never been merely a business for Micky, but a life’s work. One of the first unisex health and fitness gyms to open Dundalk in 1983, he paved the way for others in the industry to follow. As fitness evolved over the years, The Gym expanded in size and location but never at the expense of sacrificing Micky’s core value and ethos which was to provide a high quality training environment with knowledgeable coaching staff.
This is where Micky shouts “We are a coaching gym!” It is a genuine pleasure and passion for Micky to share his knowledge about health, nutrition and training, whether it’s on Facebook or chatting on the well-worn black bench outside the office. However, at 75, it’s time to pass the baton to Aaron, with Damien in support to continue to build upon the proud Rogers family legacy. Don’t worry, Micky won’t be going too far and will, as always, be floating around and ready for a chat.
For the past ten years, Body 4 Life has built a reputation for excellence, providing a range of services such as personal, semi-personal and group training and nutritional advice. We know that Aaron will bring new innovations so that customers will continue to experience the high standards of service and expert knowledge they have come to expect from both The Gym and Body 4 Life.
Those with ongoing memberships, please speak to the staff about future arrangements and packages available in Body 4 Life.
On behalf of Micky, Anne and as a family, we would like to express our gratitude to all our loyal members, past and present over the past 40 years. We have seen many people pass through the doors of the old gym and new in those years, customers who became friends and customers who became family. We are immensely thankful to have been offered a window into your lives, and we hope this journey and your support continues in January as a new era begins.
Wishing you continued good health and happiness,
Micky, Family & Staff of The Gym Dundalk
