First up, it’s the Witham 3XV heading over to Colchester Rugby Club to take on Roman Ruins under the lights.

Apparently “no rain, no gain” is a real thing after all. ☀️🌧️😂

Following the recent RFU announcement, and with pitches currently doing a fairly convincing impression of concrete, Saturday’s pre-season fixture against Hadleigh is cancelled.

PRE-SEASON IS HERE… AND IT’S TIME FOR SOME BRUTAL HONESTY.

You’re not “just a bit rusty.”
That first warm-up will expose you.
Your lungs will attempt to leave your body.
Your legs will forget how stairs work.
And the shorts that fitted in April may now be operating under extreme pressure. 😅

But here’s the good news…

You don’t need to be match-fit.
You don’t need to know anyone.
You don’t even need to pretend you’ve been training all summer.

Just turn up.
