🗣️Ever considered Coaching? 🤔

👀 As we look to increase our provision in our Junior section, we are looking for additional coaches to supplement our existing group.

🧑🏻‍💻 All coaches are DBS checked and Safeguarding trained, and new / prospective volunteers will be mentored by our qualified RFU coaching team. Opportunities to take the England Rugby Coaching Award (ERCA) are also available.

🖤 This is a rewarding opportunity to put something back into the Club, and invest in the future of Western Vikings. It would suit a parent who wants to get more involved, or a player (current or former) who wants to further their rugby experience.

🕚 Time commitment would be 60-90mins per session (varies on age grade), plus assisting at one of our regular monthly fixtures around the Island’s clubs 🇮🇲

Game on! ⚫️⚪️🏉🟢⚪️

Head to QEII today for the only senior domestic rugby match, and one of the very few in the RFU league structure that is taking place today 🙋‍♂️

Our thanks to the Manx Executive Committee who worked with Cheshire RFU to ensure dispensation was granted to play 🇮🇲

Enjoy the game today folks, and pop to The Creek Inn afterwards for post-match refreshments 🍺

We kick off our Manx Shield campaign against Southern Nomads, we are sure this game will have all the hallmarks of an early season game with players rested after the summer break ☀️

We had a great time yesterday rowing in the Peel Viking Longboats! ⚫️⚪️🚣

Thanks to everyone who came down and filled a boat for either the practice or the race itself - much appreciated! Particular thanks to Ashley who did much of the co-ordinating 👍

Some details for Sunday 30th;

Roads Close 10.30am
Signing on is from 10am at Peel Sailing Club
Race Start 11am
Row Order; is as drawn Mens, Ladies then Mixed

Important

You must sign on prior to rowing, and don't lose the team pass as this is proof of signing on and is required to be handed in at the steps prior to boarding the Longboats.

SENSIBLE FOOTWEAR MUST BE WORN WHILST ON THE LONGBOATS. NOBODY WILL BE PERMITTED TO ROW BAREFOOTED, WEARING FLIP FLOPS OR OPEN TOED SANDALS
