🏉 Exciting news for North Shields RFC! 🏉

We’re delighted to share that the club has been awarded a £24,000 grant from the Football Foundation, funded by the Premier League, The FA and the Government, to help improve and maintain our rugby pitches.

Combined with an additional £12,000 investment from the club, this funding will allow us to carry out vital pitch improvement works, helping to address issues caused by waterlogging, drought conditions and nutrient deficiencies. Better pitches mean better opportunities for rugby at every level.

These improvements will benefit our senior men’s and women’s teams, youth sections, and the wider community who use our facilities throughout the year.

The Blue Roses would like to say a huge thank you to the Football Foundation for supporting our club and investing in grassroots sport. This funding will help ensure that rugby continues to thrive in North Shields for years to come.

A massive thank you also goes to everyone involved in securing this funding and to the volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our club moving forward.

🏆 Celebrating Our Volunteers 🏆

On Thursday evening, members of the Blue Roses attended the RFUs Volunteer Awards Evening to celebrate the incredible people who give their time, energy and dedication to our team and wider club.

We are incredibly proud that our Team Manager and coaching team were recognised and awarded for their continued commitment, hard work and support throughout the season. Their efforts behind the scenes make a huge difference, helping to create an environment where our players can develop, thrive and enjoy their rugby.

Volunteers are the backbone of every grassroots club, and we are fortunate to have such passionate individuals supporting the Blue Roses both on and off the pitch.

A huge thank you to all of our volunteers for everything you do. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and we are grateful for the countless hours you give to the team and the club.
