A really good run out today for our Men's section away at Trentham Rugby Union Football Club, thank you for hosting us and good luck with your season.

Next weekend we welcome Burntwood Rugby Club to the Hill & Webster Arena at Oldfields Sports & Social Club.

We look forward to seeing you all back at home as the new season starts in earnest at the end of the month.

Uttoxeter RFC Statement

Following the RFU’s latest announcement regarding the start of the 2026/27 competitive community rugby season, Uttoxeter RFC can confirm that competitive fixtures will now commence from the week commencing Monday 21 September 2026.

We fully support the RFU’s decision to delay the start of competitive rugby. With the exceptionally dry conditions experienced across the country, pitch safety and player welfare must remain the priority. The decision provides clubs with additional time for pitches to recover and, importantly, gives players the best possible conditions in which to return to competitive rugby.

We appreciate that the change will be disappointing for players, coaches, volunteers and supporters who have been looking forward to the new season getting underway. However, we believe this is the right decision in the circumstances.

Our pre-season preparations will continue, with training and other club activities progressing as planned wherever conditions allow. We will provide further information regarding any fixture changes as soon as details are confirmed.

We would like to thank our players, coaches, volunteers, members and supporters for their continued patience and understanding.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Oldfields and getting the 2026/27 season underway safely and positively.

After careful consideration and consultation with clubs across England, the RFU has decided to delay the start of the competitive community game season until the week commencing Monday 21 September.

The RFU recognises this will be disappointing for clubs, players and volunteers who have been preparing for the new season, but the decision follows consideration of a range of factors. For full details please follow this link.

🧡🖤 WE NEED YOUR HELP

Uttoxeter RFC is having its most exciting period in ages - the Men's teams are planning to attack their leagues with vigour, the Vixens are going from strength to strength and the Juniors section is expanding with the introduction of new girls teams!

However, we need local businesses and people to help keep this momentum going - as a volunteer run club, we rely heavily on local people investing in our local team.

We are looking for businesses to help us out through sponsorship - this could be buying water bottles for a junior team all the way up to sponsoring kit, the scoreboard or the pitch!

Looking to try something new, have fun, and make new friends along the way?

We’re excited to be holding another Open Day on Tuesday 2nd June at 6:30pm, open to all girls from Year 6 upwards!

Following the fantastic response to our last event, many girls have been joining us weekly, taking part in fun activities alongside our Vixens. It’s been amazing to see our new members growing in confidence week by week!

Whether you’ve played at school before or you’re completely new to it, everyone is welcome. If you’d like to be part of something special, come along and see what we’re all about!
