Danby 8-2 Ryedale
A disappointing way to end the unbeaten run for ryedale.
First half saw danby go in front early. An even battle for long periods with ryedale seeing good amounts of the ball before Norton-Hunter equalised for the Dale after coming off the bench 20 minutes in due to a Hattersly injury, 1-1.
Once again ryedale battled hard stopping Danby from playing there football and playing some good football all across the pitch. Looking positive.
A good ball in behind saw Danbys pacey left winger in behind the ryedale defence. Hayden Horsfall as elegant as ever takes him about from behind gives away a penalty. 2-1 danby.
Half time.
Second half kicks off and within 3 seconds danbys midfielder lobs Nathan brown (who was on his line) from kick off. 3-1 danby.
Lots of battling and ryedale against the wind, hopper strikes from outside the box through the keepers hands and into the back of the net. 3-2.
After hoppers goal chances were limited with N.hunter missing the best opportunity after a poor pass back by the Danby left back.
Nothing much to report after that from a ryedale perspective danby just found the spaces and capitalised.
Improvements to be made but lots of lessons to take from the game.
