Since I’ve got a few new people following the page, ready to join the new Wednesday pilates class, I thought I’d introduce myself again.
My name is Bea. I’m a mother of 3, an ultra runner, qualified personal trainer and fitness instructor, who has run Bea fit for almost 10 years (10 year anniversary coming up this next month!).
Over the years I’ve taken personal training sessions (in my garage, in a studio, online and even in the park - thanks to covid restrictions!), I’ve run circuit classes, boot camps, online and video series classes, a beginners run club, kettlebell classes, core classes and my most popular class - pilates.
My clients have seen me change from following the fitness norm of ‘go hard or go home’ to a kinder… ‘do what you can, just turn up!’ attitude. They’ve been there themselves, and stood by me through my own weight issues, injury, mental health struggles and medical conditions. I’m neurodiverse and perimenopausal too, which always adds an extra bit of fun to class! 😂
Over the years I’ve learned to embrace who I am, and show the world that we can still do hard things, regardless or age and size. It’s about feeling fit, mentally and physically that’s most important, so you can enjoy life day to day, reducing injury and pain that we feel more as we get older.
I don’t look like your regular PT with a super slim body and six pack! I’m just a mum, with flaws like most people, but has a love and educated understanding of fitness, who is all about empowering everyone.
I genuinely care about people. Yes, it’s my job, yes I need to earn money to pay bills etc, but I do this because I want fitness to be fun and accessible to all. I want women like myself who are peri or menopausal, some with arthritis and osteoporosis, and other medical conditions/injury to build strong, flexible and mobile bodies that will keep them going long term.
And this isnt just for the woman, I do have men come to class too, who want similar strength and mobility as well.
So if you’d like some ‘me time’, to concentrate on feeling better, stronger, more mobile, a chance to let go and laugh (especially if you don’t get a move quite right straight away!), to build your body up to keep going day to day, then come to a Bea fit class! We are a warm, welcoming class of all ages, from teens to (currently)80’s!
Any questions about classes, give me a message! And thanks for joining the Bea fit gang! 💃🏻💚
