🌱🚜Yesterday Dave at TurfSports over-seeded the seniors field to help improve future grass coverage. The seed was drilled and rolled into the soil using special seeding machinery. 🚜 🌱

Thank you to the council for clearing most of our pitch drainage with their gully sucker. We still have roots blocking the pipes adjacent to our minis pitches which the council are hoping to resolve in the coming weeks if they can acquire the correct machinery. Thank you to the council’s engineering department and to Cllr Gareth Richards for their continued support with this matter!

🌱🚜🌾 We’ve learnt our lesson this year and started pitch Maintenence early. With the terrible wet winter we’ve had we can’t risk not investing in pitch Maintenence.

Verti-draining has started on the main pitch. With over seeding and w**d spraying to come over the next few weeks.

What is Verti-Draining?

Verti-draining is a deep aeration process that relieves soil compaction by driving solid tines deep into the ground. This allows air, water and nutrients to reach the grassroots more effectively, improving drainage, strengthening root growth and helping keep the playing surface in top condition throughout the season.

A big shoutout to our loyal sponsors Phoenix fencing & construction ltd who gave up their time today to start work on resurfacing our beer garden. Without volunteers and sponsors like this the club would not survive. Much appreciated gents!

It’s now ready for Terry and Dai Parry to rotorvate tomorrow before they lay the turf in the week.

It’s important we stay off the lawn until it settles and grows for a couple of weeks but we’re hoping it’ll be ready by the end of the month!
