🏗️ Rooftop Lounge Update

Huge progress has been made on our new Rooftop Lounge over the summer. The building is now watertight, the internal fit-out is well underway and the new balcony was completed today!

The project has been overseen throughout by Mark Perdue, with Forest Timber erecting the timber frame and Evans Buildings installing the external insulated cladding. A huge amount of the remaining work has been completed by club members and volunteers, who have given their time, energy and skills throughout the summer. 🔨👏

There’s still work to do, with plastering, electrical works and the finishing touches to come, but what started as a solution to a leaking roof is fast becoming a fantastic new space for Dunvant RFC.

With the Youth’s season officially getting underway this weekend, it’s time to introduce the team guiding them through 2026-27! 🏉

Head Coach Craig Lewis is joined by Forwards Coach Simon Hart, Backs Coach Jamie Thomas and Team Manager Gareth John.

With a new mix of coaches and players coming together, we’re looking forward to seeing what this group can do over the months ahead.

Best of luck to the whole squad and coaching team for the coming season, beginning this Saturday away at Maesteg Quins! 💪

🏉 A Big Weekend of Rugby Incoming!

The season is well and truly kicking into gear, with plenty to get excited about across the club this weekend! 🟢🔴

🌙 FRIDAY NIGHT
Dunvant RFC Ladies get the weekend started, taking on Green Stars Scorpions at Broadacre, kick off 7pm.

🏉 SATURDAY
The First XV get their league campaign underway, welcoming Glynneath to Broadacre for a 2.30pm kick-off. 💪

Our Youth head to Maesteg Quins as they begin their Ospreys group games, while the Athletic have a weekend off.

And there’s a little bit of Dunvant history being made… 👀

⚔️ THE DRUIDS ARE BACK!

For the first time in decades, a Dunvant Third XV takes to the field as the Dunvant Druids return! Their first fixture sees them take on Trebanos Athletic at Broadacre, kicking off at 2pm. 🙌

Friday night touch rugby, the First XV league opener, the Youth getting underway and the return of the Druids…

Plenty to get behind this weekend! Come and be part of it! 🔥🏉

Huge thanks to physiquemgmt for supplying our First Aid equipment for the Beach Rugby Wales Tournament last month.

However it’s now time to up cycle the bags and equipment and pass it on to Dunvant RFC U15 for the new Season starting at agsrfc today.

Have a great season and hopefully we can in May (8th) at the Beach Rugby Wales Junior Festival.

🏉 Friday Night Lights for Dunvant RFC Ladies!

Just a few weeks ago, The Tai-Gresses were the first team our Ladies ever faced, and it was great to welcome them to Broadacre for the return fixture last night.

A strong and experienced Tai-Gresses side took a well-deserved win, but it was another valuable game for our Ladies as they continue to build, learn and enjoy more time out on the pitch together. 💪❤️💚

Thanks to the Tai-Gresses for making the trip to Broadacre, and to everyone who came along to support 🙌

🏉 Match Results

A tough opening league fixture on the road for the Athletic this afternoon.

Trailing 17–3, Dunvant Athletic fought their way right back into the contest, closing the gap to just a single point at 17–16.

But Burry Port Athletic had the final say, crossing for a converted try to seal a 24–16 win.

Plenty of fight shown by the boys in their first league outing of the season 💪
